Warm, fresh, hand-pressed tortillas made daily in the heart of King City. No shortcuts — just masa, patience, and a family recipe passed down through generations.
Our Story
In 1985, Doña Carmen Martinez set up her first tortilleria on Broadway Street with nothing more than a comal, a wooden press, and a stubborn belief that nothing tastes quite like a tortilla made with your own hands.
Forty years later, her grandchildren still show up before dawn to sort the nixtamal, grind the masa, and press each tortilla flat — the same rhythm her parents taught her. We don't use machines that rush the process. We don't add preservatives to extend shelf life. What you get is what she made: warm, pliable, and honest.

Our Products
Every tortilla pressed by hand, every pupusa stuffed with care, every tamale wrapped the old way.
Our signature product — soft, pliable, and impossibly fresh. Available in regular and large sizes, pressed to order throughout the day.
Made from naturally pigmented blue nixtamal. Earthy flavor, striking color, and the same hand-pressed texture you trust.
Thick corn cakes stuffed with queso, refried beans, chicharrón, or any combination. Griddled on our comal until golden and crisp.
Wrapped in corn husks and steamed until tender. We make them by hand every Friday — chicken, pork, and seasonal varieties.
Light, layered, and perfect for burritos or quesadillas. Made with premium wheat flour and a touch of lard for flakiness.
House-made tortilla chips cut and fried to a crisp, served with our fresh tomato salsa. Available while supplies last.
